Renowned Nigerian author Abubakar Gimba has passed on

2nd March 2015 Tribute to a great Nigerian author, Mallam Abubakar Gimba, who passed away at the Minna General Hospital, in Nigeria on the twenty fifth of February after a prolonged illness.

Abubakar Gimba was born in Nasarawa, Nigeria in nineteen fifty two and obtained his first degree at the Ahmadu Bello University ,in Zaria, Nigeria. He was the national president of the Association of Nigerian Authors and chairman of both the Concern Foundation and Savannah Publications Limited. At a point in time he was the executive director of the Union Bank of Nigeria and a permanent secretary in Nigeria’s Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning.

He is credited for penning some brilliant books such as Witness to Tears, Trail of Sacrifice, Innocent Victims, Sunset for a Mandarin, Golden Apples and other literary works. May his soul rest in peace.
