Sameer Agriculture and Livestock Ltd (SALL) has announced a price reduction on their pasteurized milk.

16 May 2014 We hear most often about prices going up, so its nice to hear when prices go down. — Sameer Agriculture and Livestock Ltd (SALL), the makers of Fresh Dairy milk products in Uganda recently announced a price reduction on their pasteurized milk.

A dry spell meant that grass and water was limited but of course consumer demand stayed the same, which meant that prices went up. At the height of the dry spell, pasteurized packaged milk went up from about Ush2,000 to between Ush2, 200 and Ush2, 500 per litre.

However, the rains have started again and vegetation and water are more readily available. In response, the company has reduced the price of its pasteurized milk by Ush200.
