Shanghai raises curtain for its 18th International Film Festival.

June 18, 2015 Shanghai played host to people and celebrities from different parts of the world for The 18th Shanghai International Film Festival which kicked off on Saturday, June 13. Stars like Mike Tyson, Jackie Chan and Aaron Kwok were some of those who walked the red carpet at the opening ceremony.

The week-long annual festival saw more than 1,200 contemporary and classic films from around the world, screened at local cinemas in the Chinese city.

Russian director Andrei Zvyagintsev, who is famous for his controversial Oscar-nominated film “Leviathan”, was selected as president of the Golden Goblet jury for the festival this year which ends on the 21^st.
