The High Commissioner also highlighted some very specific ways that the United Kingdom intends to work with Nigeria
“Well I was here earlier talking to the governor, about some of those possibilities. So we looking at agriculture…we can match British expertise to some of his ambitions”
ARIT: “I know another way that the UK is partnering with Nigeria is in dealing with corruption, can you talk a little bit about that”
ARKWRIGHT: “One thing I would like to say is that…for that to be a lasting legacy, you have to have reform in the institutions, and that is one of the areas that the UK is helping”
To round out the interview, the commissioner encouraged young Nigerians to get a good education.
“If there is one thing I could say, make sure you get a really good education…and then the employment prospects will be so much brighter”
