UP! UP! AND AWAY! TUNISIA LAUNCHES ITS FIRST 10% TUNISIAN PLANE

30th Jan 2014 – And from the Tunis Times, aeronautics company “Oxygen Aeronautics” has created the first 100% Tunisian plane. The plane greeted the world  on 22 January at the National School of Engineers in Sousse, with the test pilot Farid Kamel.

Very small and light, the plane is mainly made of carbon fiber and aluminum materials and weighs 275 kg. It can fly up to 1,200 km with a maximum speed of 250 km per hour.

We are told that “Oxygen Aeronautics” will produce ten planes per annum, which will cover the local market’s demand, without counting export demands.
