12 Mar 2014 We start off with news about golden voice Onyeka Onwenu who is on our frontpage today for an alleged assault.
According to Bellanaija.com, business woman Olajoke Adesope is accusing Ms Onwenu of forcefully evicting her from the shop at the National Center for Women Development, Abuja.
She has petitioned the matter to the National Rights Commission with claims that Onyeka Onwenu who is the executive director of NCWD had given the orders to chuck her out following a series of eviction letters late January and February this year.
Reports from Punch say Adesope who claims her tenancy ends December of the year was visited by Ms Onwenu and her security personnel who on February 14 broke the locks of her textile shop in a forced eviction.
He claims that as she tried to record the event on her phone, Onyeka Onwenu asked the phone be confiscated where in the struggle; she was beaten and dragged on the ground with her clothes and bag torn.
Meanwhile legal rep for the Women Dev Centre Mohammed Suleiman has stated that Olajoke was not a legal tenant in the first place.
