Winners at Headies Awards 2014

What’s up folks!

The 9th edition of The Headies Award went down in Eko Hotel Lagos on Sunday all the way into the early hours of Monday.

Arguably the biggest music award in the country, the event, hosted by TV personality Toke Makinwa and comedian Basket Mouth, saw a huge turnout of celebrities as well as performances by superstars including P-Square, Davido, Tiwa Savage, Phyno, and even veteran dancehall star Blackky, among several others.

Big winners of the night include dancehall star Patoranking, who beat Yemi Alade, Runtown, Orezi  and Skales to bag the prestigious “Next Rated Award” along with a brand new Hyundai SUV as well as Best Raggae/dancehall award.

Davido won the Song of the Year award with his hit song “Aye” as well as the Artiste of the Year Award.

2Face won Best R&B Single award for the song “Let Somebody Love You”.

Rapper Olamide’s “Baddest Guy ever liveth” album won the Album of the Year award, as well as Best Rap Album award. Congratulations guys!
