Winners at the 2015 Nigeria entertainment awards

Sep 10, 2015 So, the 10th edition of Nigeria Entertainment Awards went down at the Skirball Center for Performing Arts in New York on Sunday with celebrated African entertainers carting away prestigious awards.

Among them was Johnny singer Yemi Alade who emerged as the Best Female Act while Wizkid was Best Male Act. Kiss Daniel won the Best New Act award while Simi won the Most Promising Act.

Other notable wins include DJ Cuppy for the Female Disc Jockey of the year award while DJ Kaywise grabbed the Male Disc Jockey of the Year, Album of the Year award going to Flavour for his album “Thankful”, Hottest single of the Year going to Wizkid for his track “Ojuelegba” and many more.

In the movie world, winners included Kunle Afolayan as Film Director of the Year (Nollywood) for the movie “October 1”, Actor of the Year (Nollywood) Gabriel Afolayan, Actress of the Year (Nollywood) Ruth Kadri and several others.
