World number three Roger Federer arrives in Brisbane before title defence

Jan 05, 2016 Prior to his Brisbane International title defense, World number three tennis player Roger Federer recently enjoyed a boat trip along the South Bank riverfront.

According to the tournament’s website, the 17-time grand slam event winner was met by representatives of the indigenous Mirrabooka tribe, who performed a traditional welcome ceremony for the Swiss.

Elsewhere, Australian star Nick Kyrgios warmed up for the Hopman Cup with some local children on Cottesloe Beach.
