Lupita Nyong’o to star in Chimamanda “Americanah” alongside British-Nigerian actor David Oyelowo

Let’s start off with the movie world where Oscar winning Mexican-Kenyan star, Lupita Nyong’o is confirmed to star in adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie’s latest novel, Americanah.

Lupita, who had gotten the rights to make a movie of the novel will be starring in it alongside British-Nigerian actor David Oyelowo.

Lupita will be playing the lead role of Ifemelu, who migrates from Nigeria to America in search of greener pasture, only to be faced with the challenges of racism.

The movie will be produced by Lupita alongside American superstar Brad Pit and award-winning British producer Andrea Calderwood, who produced the movie Half of a Yellow Sun.
