Nigerian Army appoints new spokesperson
27th Jan 2015 The Nigeria’s Army has a new voice, so to speak; Colonel. S.K Usman has been appointed as the new spokesman for the service, taking over from Brigadier General Olajide Laleye who has been transferred to the 4th Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Benin.
Until his recent appointment, Colonel Usman was the spokesman of the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army, in Maiduguri. His efficiency at his previous position was a big part of the decision to select him for the position. Another reason was the recent deployment of senior officers of the Nigerian Army as approved by the Chief of Army Staff.
