Chinese President Xi Jinping arrives in Prague for state visit
Mar 31, 2016 Chinese President Xi Jinping recently arrived in Prague for a state visit to promote business ties and build a strategic relationship with the Czech Republic.
Being the first official visit by a Chinese head of state to the Czech Republic, the visit was widely received as a milestone in the history of Chinese-Czech relations.
During the visit, President Xi ushered in a new phase of bilateral ties that will offer mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
Currently, the Czech Republic is the second largest trading partner of China in the Central and Eastern European region, while China has been their largest trading partner outside the European Union for several years in a row.
Xi was accompanied by several high-ranking officials including Wang Huning, Li Zhanshu, and State Councilor Yang Jiechias as well as a number of Chinese entrepreneurs and businessmen.
