Sep 9, 2015 In trending news, Ebonylife TV’s movie “Fifty” is still generating major traffic both on traditional and social media. The most recent of which saw American based cable and satellite television channel CNN tweeting about it.
The tweet which reads:” Brand new film by @MoAbudu and @BiyiBandele wants to show African women like never before”, was posted after the release of the movie’s official trailer, which has since garnered over 12,000 views in less than a week.
The movie, which is gearing up for its festival premiere at the BFI London film festival, featured top Nollywood acts including Ireti Doyle and Omoni Oboli:
“I have booked an appointment with one of Halley streets best. I am giving this beauty some TLC, what do you think?”
Another Nollywood screen diva on the lineup was Dakore Egbuson:
“I want items that scream class. How many times must I say it, money is not my problem but how to spend it”
Screen darling, Nse Ikpe-etim was also on point to give the movie a touch of glamour:
“Why is God unhappy with me? Why has He cursed me?”
Directed by Biyi Bandele and executively produced by Mo Abudu, “Fifty” tells the story of the contemporary African woman in a way that has never been told before.
Set in Lagos, the commercial capital of Nigeria, the movie celebrates the pulse and energy of the city while exploring the diversity its residents from the view point of four women.
