COMESA and SADC Negotiates a Free Trade Area.
15th July 2014 You will better appreciate the implications of this news when you add the fact that the East African Community, Common Market for Eastern and Central Africa and Southern African Development Community (SADC) are currently negotiating a free trade area that will bring together 26 countries with a combined population of 600-million and an overall GDP of approximately US$2-trillion. And get this, a planned Trans African Highway programme is anticipated to connect Africa’s capitals through eight major routes.
Africa’s current focus on infrastructural development does have a lot of very interesting implications on trade…keep your eyes on this guys.
