LA Galaxy introduces new signings Cole and Van Damme
Feb 09, 2016 Major League Soccer side, LA Galaxy recently introduced its two newest signings, former England full back Ashley Cole and Belgian defender Jelle Van Damme.
Speaking at the unveiling, Former Arsenal, Chelsea and England left back Cole said:
“I’m not fooled, I know it’s going to be hard for me, for sure. But I’m happy to be here, I’m doing to try to work as hard as I can, change a few views on me being here. I’m going to see. And, of course, I’m a winner, I always want to win. I don’t come here to sit on the beach, to rest. I’m here to play football, I’m here to work hard. I’m not a diva, I’m not this egotistical guy that comes and thinks he’s bigger than them. I come here and I’ll work as hard as I can,”
Cole, who left Serie A team AS Roma after making just 11 league appearances for the Italian club, will link up with former England team-mate Steven Gerrard.
Also speaking at the unveiling, Van Damme said he hopes to help his new club bring home new hardware.
“I’m proud to be here. I think it’s the biggest club in MLS and so hopefully we can win some trophies,”
