More international accolades for Nigeria’s Vincent Enyeama

7th Jan 2015 Beloved Nigeria international goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama might have lost out recently to fellow nominee, Brahimi for the recent  award of BBC footballer of the year 2014, but the talented soccer star is again showing that there will be other accolades for him as he has again been selected by top French newspaper, L’Equipe as the best shot stopper in Ligue 1 for 2014. The recommendation by the newspaper is not a first for the Lille OSC goalie, who was selected in 2013 as well.

Thirty two year old Enyeama has played in every minute of Lille’s 56 league matches after his return from his loan spell at Israeli club, Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2013. And in recognition of his excellent work, he found himself picked as the best goalkeeper for the league despite the team’s shaky start to the 2014-2015 season.

The soccer star received praise by colleagues such as Ike Shorunmu, a former goalkeeper for Nigeria’s National team, who says he always knew Vincent Enyeama was a star from day one, and that the man deserves the accolades because he is the best in Africa and one of the best worldwide.
