South Africa’s Patrice Motsepe Donates $1m to Guniea’s Ebola Fund
24th Nov 2014 Still on the disease South Africa’s well known billionaire, Patrice Motsepe, has recently donated one million dollars to the Ebola Fund in Guinea, to help in the fight against the deadly virus. This is a move that will no doubt motivate other South African institutions and companies to follow suit, especially with the recent worldwide call by the World health organization and other health institutions encouraging people from across the world to be more concerned in donating to the cause of curbing the virus.
While making the contribution, Patrice Motsepe encouraged Africans and the global business groups, as well as health or medical fraternity to be more vigilant and cautious. He said “According to the World Health Organization, Ebola is an epidemic in certain countries in West Africa, However the impact of the disease has potentially far-reaching consequences for West Africa, Africa and the world. It is a global issue which requires the global community to work together and bring an end to the disease.”
