The EbonyLife TV Sisterhood Awards
EbonyLife TV in special partnership with the Women in Management, Business and Public Service (WIMBIZ), presents the EbonyLife TV Sisterhood Awards as part of their annual WIMBIZ conference. Together, we empower women to work together to accomplish great things and seek to celebrate women who have excelled in laudable achievements.
The Inaugural Edition of the EbonyLife TV Sisterhood Awards was celebrated on the 13th of September, 2014, as part of the activities marking the 50th Birthday Celebration of Media Entrepreneur, Mo Abudu in Lagos, Nigeria. The event themed – “Mo @ 50, Celebrating sisterhood”, was a celebration of the deserving, but unsung women in the society; those not often celebrated or celebrated enough, but who are making significant impacts in their particular areas of influence.
The criteria for recognizing awardees is based strictly on a demonstration of excellence, commitment, innovativeness, integrity, national impact; and most importantly women who demonstrated a substantive, yet largely unrecognized excellence in the area for which they were being considered.
